Birds 1924

The 1924 production of the BIRDS was performed from 26 February to 1 March 1924 at the New Theatre, Cambridge.

The actors’ text and translation sold to audiences was A.E. transl. J.T. Sheppard &A.W. Verrall, Aristophanes: The Birds (Cambridge 1924). Verrall contributed the choral odes. The incidental music written by Sir Hubert Parry for the 1903 production was repeated.
